Two double storey wings are separated by a central glazed entry with bay views to Melbourne. Each wing is stepped according to the topography of this unique cliff edge site on the Mornington Peninsula. The house is a juxtaposition of simple forms, designed in response to a complex topography and panoramic bay views. A limited material palette includes subtle textural contrasts, extensive glazing and timber elements.
The main wing includes a sunken lounge, a prime but secluded position from which to observe nature in all its dynamic glory! The kitchen and meals area opens out to the terrace and pool, while the master bed and study is on the level above. The smaller wing includes four guest bedrooms and a games den the level below. This area can be closed off until the holiday season when full amenity is activated! All rooms enjoy spectacular coastal views and flow out to generous decks.
