Elwood 2

A British Bungalow in Elwood re-designed into a two-level duplex. External modifications include a cantilevered corrugated gable roof as well as the addition of contrasting black weatherboard cladding to the first floor and a large circular steel framed window to the ground floor. The design itself maintains the heritage fa├žade and some of the original floorplate but incorporates two three-bedroom dwellings each with lock-up garage, dual living and bathrooms and outdoor terraces.

Upstairs internally, the living zones have complimenting cathedral ceilings to mirroring the modern roofline addition. The landscaping will maintain existing palm and jacaranda trees (prominent in the seaside suburb) and incorporate new deep hedges to the front open spaces to assist in forming a sense of seclusion and separation between the new residence division.
